Guests can enjoy the tranquility of the remote surroundings and take relaxing walks to the nearby pub. The accommodation is well-equipped and welcoming, with a fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed. The hosts, Nick and Christine, are friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay.
The spiral staircase may pose a safety concern for guests with mobility issues or larger dogs, making it difficult to navigate.

Staying here was a really great experience, I would recommend. It was perfect in general: spacious room, stunning location just off a working farm which is nice, Bishop Auckland and the shops.

The Stables was a delightful place to stay with its well-equipped amenities and friendly hosts. The bathroom was top-notch, and they even accommodated my dog and baby.
Oh, not much to complain about, except for the animal-filled car park that made parking a tad challenging.

The Stables at Low Etherley provided us with a truly relaxing and peaceful getaway. Despite its location in a small hamlet, it felt wonderfully remote and allowed us to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The accommodations were fully equipped and immaculately clean, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A special mention must be made of the thoughtful bottle of prosecco that welcomed us upon arrival. The hosts, Nick, Christine, and their family. Their genuine passion for ensuring our stay was enjoyable was evident from the moment we met them. Lastly, we made some unexpected furry friends during our stay, including the friendly dogs and the adorable Romanian rescue goat named Victor. It was truly a unique and memorable experience.
Felt safe, no complaints whatsoever.

Located in a peaceful and remote area, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The instructions provided for arrival were clear and easy to follow. The accommodation was well-equipped and clean, with a nice touch of a complimentary bottle of prosecco. The hosts were friendly and helpful, providing recommendations and advice. The presence of horses and a friendly goat added to the charm of the location.
The noise from the stables in the morning, particularly the metal doors banging, could be disruptive. The lack of a separate bedroom in the property could be inconvenient for some guests.

We absolutely loved the horses and the friendly goat at this charming holiday let. The free-standing bath was incredibly comfortable and a wonderful touch. The location was remote and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing break. The hosts were very friendly and provided us with great recommendations for nearby attractions. Plus, having a well-equipped kitchen and appliances made our stay even better.
If I had to be picky, I would say that the spiral staircase was a bit unsafe for larger dogs and those with knee problems. it would have been nice to have a small jug of fresh milk in the fridge upon arrival, especially after a long journey.

The apartment itself was fantastic, with two spacious bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. But the best part was the flat-screen TV, which made us feel like we were in our own personal mini cinema!

Even though it's located on the edge of a little hamlet, it still feels very remote, just what you need if you want to get away from it all. From arrival to departure, our stay was perfect. The accommodation was fully equipped with everything you could need, it was clean and very welcoming. Our hosts were fantastic, leaving us to our own devices but always available for advice or a chat. The dogs and horses on the property were friendly and added to the charm of the place. We would definitely book The Stables again and highly recommend it.
Nothing that I didn't like. 😊
